That night they pulled themselves up their nooses and in a bloody night, removed the Weeping Court and installed themselves in power. It haunts the depths of the Sea of Teeth and beyond, arriving with brutal noise and immense violence. It is widely known, feared, respected, and even worshipped by the Dernish sailors who frequent the waters. The descriptions that survive are of writhing tendrils, sharp fangs, and the becalming of the sea just before it arrives. One of the few concepts that has remained static (has it?) since the Shattering… Time was the domain of many gods, some few have remained as demons. It has many forms and its facets are ever-folding, collapsing, and expanding through themselves. At its heart is the Eternal Beast, the Demon Mountain. The Eternal Beast can be seen, a mountain, dragging itself along by thousands of stone arms; crawling across the landscape of the world. It is time. It is endurance. It is eternal. Quiet, fast, powerful; it moves gracefully through the canopy, pouncing down on prey before retreating upwards again. Often seen as little more than a blur, it seems to relish in allowing a few survivors to spread the story of its fearful presence. They are blessed (or cursed) with the Verdant God’s demonic energies of regeneration, rampant growth, and creeping vines. They are loyal still, unable to quit the service of their god even as it became something other than it was. A demon that is everywhere and nowhere, as much symbol as it is physical. It lurks in the dark, infinitely patient, and always hungry. Born in the calderas and craters of Myrd’s volcanoes, Acoalenek emerged from the graves of the gods of fire and change, brimming with the Roil and with elemental fury. It is a towering form of the memories of the dynamic gods that died there and the idea of the area’s apex predator. The others were dead long before she rose to prominence in the revolution of Turvas against the Weeping Court. When Eali, and the other leaders of the revolt, were executed and hanged from the Tears of Madness; their followers thought the fight was over. But the Hanged Lords refused to die. That night they pulled themselves up their nooses and in a bloody night, removed the Weeping Court and installed themselves in power. Seven Eyes seeks thrill like most people seek air, by instinct. He sails well beyond the ordinary territory of All Blue’s fleet to explore, delve deep into mysterious ruins from the Shattering, and conduct raids into other factions territories. His crew is hand-picked for their talents and potential. Many of the members of the Eyes believe Seven Eyes will one day be raised to the position of All Eyes. Umgair Kuer carries a confidence that comes from faith, and a wisdom that comes from experience. His tendency toward mood swings and fierce emotions have led some to believe he has gone completely mad, corrupted by the Roil.
